How to dress for work in summer

With the arrival of the summer season and hot days, the desire to indulge in unlikely and unprofessional looks even in the workplace can be tempting. However, for the man who wants to present himself as a bearer of good taste and elegance all year round, it is important not to disfigure even in the hottest months. But how to survive in the office when the heat is tough? Here are our tips to always be impeccable without melting even on the hottest days.

Shirt

First of all, let's immediately say that in the workplace the shirt is a must also in summer. Remember that professionalism in front of colleagues, superiors or customers is also demonstrated by the care you have for your person and therefore for your look. Certainly with the summer we are all more inclined to have a desire for lightness and carefree, but this does not mean that in the workplace it is allowed to succumb to the temptation of floral patterned shirts, or even worse, short sleeve shirts. Instead, there are many fabrics that will make you feel comfortable while remaining fresh and elegant. Take for example the cotton Zephir, a light and breathable fabric that will give you an incredible feeling of comfort. Linen can also be a good option for shirts, with the only downside that it is easy to crease and crease.

Jacket

Often in the office there is a dress code that could force you to wear a jacket all year round: if this garment is the one most guilty of your summer discomfort, perhaps you have not chosen the right one! When you buy a summer jacket there are some precautions to which you must pay attention to ensure the best possible performance: first of all, therefore, choose an unlined jacket, avoid all adhesive jackets and especially those with synthetic materials. At first glance it might seem that the latter are lighter and more impalpable, but when you put them on they will not be able to breathe your skin, making you always feel damp and forced inside the jacket. Also in this case, therefore, cotton and linen are the winning fabrics for the summer, even in combination with each other. The natural fibers will allow you to breathe and feel the skin always dry.

Trousers

Have you dreamed of going to the office in Bermuda shorts? We strongly advise against this option! Much better to make tailored trousers always avoiding the slim fit, but also cargo, oversize or shorts models. You can opt for a simple cotton or cool wool trousers that in a regular fit will never make you feel oppressed but will fall straight down the leg for an impeccable look.

Accessories

If the dress code of your workplace allows it, you can also decide not to wear a tie, a practice now cleared by well-known and high-class personalities, especially overseas. If, on the other hand, you want or have to wear it even in summer, opt for materials such as silk, cotton or linen and close it with a simple four in hand knot, avoiding tightening it excessively.
