Men's looks of the 2022 Oscars

Triumph of the tuxedo

This year on the red carpet of the Dolby Theater, actors, directors, producers and celebrities have mostly opted for the evening dress par excellence: the tuxedo. Of course, everyone selected different details to stand out, and there was no shortage of extravagances. Remi Malek chooses a classic and elegant tuxedo, with peak lapels, embellished with a small chain at the pocket for an eclectic touch. Even our Sorrentino does not give up on the tuxedo, worn with style and diplomatic shirt next to the very young Filippo Scotti, who shows us how the tuxedo can also give his age.

Total black

A particular trend to note on this year's red carpet are the total black looks, sported by Javier Bardem, Jason Momoa, Timothée Chalamet and Josh Brolin. The black shirt, which is traditionally reserved for more informal situations, is thus also cleared for important and official occasions such as the night of the Oscars. On the other hand, we know well that in America the traditional dress code rules are less rigid than in Europe. Also for this reason, we can also find the opposite interpretation of formal dresses: Sebastian Yatra parades in tight total pink, Kodi Smit-McPhee sports a pastel blue double-breasted dress, David Oylowo hypnotizes with the yellow pattern of his black dress.

Timeless classics

Even the three-piece suit with the waistcoat does not give up, worn by Bradley Cooper who combines it with a flashy and elegant bow tie, but also by Kenneth Branagh who opts for midnight blue with a jacket with black peaked lapels. More eclectic is the choice of Amaree McKenstry-Hall who combines a shirt, waistcoat and black trousers, an aquamarine green jacket with black shawl lapels, completing everything with a dark green bow tie.
